Plymouth Avenue, and of course I stopped and had a chat wih them. In the evening Claude & I went to see Robson again & "the Henrietta" suited the company much better. He was very funny & it was very good indeed. Oct. 24 Sunday. A beautiful October day - but I was lazy and didn't feel very well and staid in all day reading & loafing in my pleasant window, till nearly five o'clock - when I took the car up to Highland Park. Went up & watched the fog-clouds sweeping over the Valley & walked home in the dusk - to get tea. Oct. 25. Monday. A very foggy morning. It was almost like riding in the rain & Diana wanted to shake herself. From this end of Court St. bridge not the faintest outline of the Y.M.C.A. Bldg. was visible and one couldn't see the dam nor the aqueduct - nor even the river. It was like traversing an unknown country. Before supper I took a long ride - out Genesee St. & into the park - which was wierd and beautiful with the faint pink after-glow in the sky - and the fog on the river with every twig outlined against it & the meadows silver with the rising mist.
