found a beautiful little cove on the Eastern shore and there tied the boat to a lone pine tree & Mary got out on the beautiful mossy rocks and went to sleep and Ned & Edith fished & I rocked in the boat and read. Later Ned & I smoked half a dozen or so cigarettes a piece (all we had) and Edith caught 3 sunfish and Mary looked disgusted and the more she looked so, the more hilarious we became. Edith was awfully funny - putting on "bites" etc. We went home just before a shower - rainy Mr.

& Miss. D. & Mary Lindsay. The sky is simply gorgeous this after- noon, and the air so clear! The Dymonds got us some beautiful water lilies today. After fixing my hair I wrote a note to Maude about leaving her umbrella before supper, and afterwards we went on the water again. Dr. Lindsay made rewards about my "throwing straight for a woman" & Mr. D.
claimed I was the exception &c.&c. Mary & I rowed the girls to the P.O. (tho' we already had the mail) "Bobby" weighed us Edith 98, Mary 113 and Ned & I each 131. We also had birch beer. Then we
