& Mrs. & Miss
Rose came & Ralph
& Flavie & Mr.
Gray - and later Flav and
Harold True. We sang & told conundrums and
gave the Varsity yell and made life "miserable" after the crowd had
gone we smoked a little and loafed till the lightning frightened
Edith and we all rowed home. I
steered our boat by the flashes. There was no light on the dock.
Edith & Mary went right up. Then Ned - & Hilda too. Maude
I sat on the dock with Mr. D.
and
told weird tales and watched the heavens.
Hilda came for us just before the
rain & as the storm promised to be magnificent we sat out on the
piazza and watched it come & stay. Mr.
D
, Mrs. Lindsay, Miss
Dymond - M.B.Maud, Hilda
& Dr. L.
We sat there talking after most of it had passed, also - a most
understanding conversation too - and didn't disperse till 12:30.
