Maude's in Hilda's, Edith, Mr. Dymond
& Mrs. Lindsay reclining by and down below in boats, in the wierd firelight - were Dr. Lindsay & the 4 children & Blanche. Also, in another boat - Mr. & Mrs. Pond & Irene. Mrs. L.
went home with them and pretty soon Prof.
& Mrs. & Miss Rose came & Ralph & Flavie & Mr. Gray - and later Flav and Harold True. We sang & told conundrums and gave the Varsity yell and made life "miserable" after the crowd had gone we smoked a little and loafed till the lightning frightened Edith and we all rowed home. I steered our boat by the flashes. There was no light on the dock. Edith & Mary went right up. Then Ned - & Hilda too. Maude I sat on the dock with Mr. D.
and told weird tales and watched the heavens. Hilda came for us just before the rain & as the storm promised to be magnificent we sat out on the piazza and watched it come & stay. Mr. D
, Mrs. Lindsay, Miss Dymond - M.B. Maud, Hilda & Dr. L. We sat there talking after most of it had passed, also - a most understanding conversation too - and didn't disperse till 12:30.
