190JULY 8 Fri 1910 Mason with Fatherthis a.m., so I didn't see him & this p.m. Lura took Trudy& I (& her mother) to Summerville to supper (chicken & fish - delicious) to Mary's new tent & Mrs. Millers - to Charlotte. &c. &c. time that way at 10:30. Warm. Sat up & figured tho' very sleepy. Marguerite went to Dansville. Sat 1911 Went up to Cro'nest& took dictation (Hampden,

&c) till 12. Had lunch & then went back to the office. A wire came from Pfau saying &c. CFneedn't be there till Friday. I'm so Glad. Went to the house again & took Henry's picture in the Indian suit. Then to Cobb's Hill where I saw my first beautiful view of a real monoplane flight - & a biplane too. The picture was beautiful. Went to Davis' to supper and for a nice. Evening visit. Mrs. Davis away. Miss Kaiser there
Mon 1912 Another broiler! Miss Mac Donald got back last night tho' Mrs. Kelly offered ther $1800 per week to stay & take care of the children! Take baths & wear as few clothes as possible these days. Tonight sat down in the Auto awhile & talked to Jno Frey about his new house! One good hard shower this pm - but a hot one! Tues 1913 A Strenuous day for me here. Elks Conventions & Elks Everywhere, tooth troubles &c. In New York, however, At 5 p.m. Claude was married to Eugenie Macaulay - in St. George's Chapel 207 E. 16th St. by Rev. Jno. F. Hamaker Harry Wilkinson stood up with him & Mal and Jo were there - also Henry Julier. The Sister-in-law Mrs. Macaulay's "sister Connie" & her husband. "It be announced Friday Wed 1914 Warmish, Came home to lunch This p.m. went with the Ford to meet Mate & Chas. Willard, Dem & the maid & Mother went with them (in the car) to the Erie station. Claude was there a few minutes. Dinner at Cro'nest with "Aunt Augusta" Kelogg. A pleasant time
