206JULY 16 Sat 1910
Thunder shower early this
morning & poured a good deal of the day afterward - in spite of
Sibley's picnic. Police day postponed. Home
to lunch & planned about having Father
home. Went to Hospital about 3. Read
"The Rosary"
(fine) Got very cold. Had a fire at the
fireplace tonight. Father's better.
Sun 1911
Nice day. Claude's to dinner on the piazza. Claude home again spent yes- terday with
W Hampden. Henry sick "all the raspberries came up - Auntie Maisie !" Chan
Cross. They slept in p.m. Long talk with
Mrs. Crothers
about Quebec trip. It
poured. Thundered &c. in evening & a good deal of the night -
cooler.
Tues 1912
A lovely day for a change.
Mother got all ready for Mate &
Dem
and they didn't come as usual. We know not why! A good supper- finished
"a rolling stone" & played
flinch.
Wed 1913 Claude & Eugenie
came home this morning. Every- thing lovely there - but no forgiveness
for her from her mother - poor dear!
Thurs 1914
And now Mrs.
Julier
has invited the boys then (see above.) Lunched with
Lura today. It was hot & horrid
and I was about sick with a sore throat. A "show" tonight and was home
all the evening feeling pretty rocky.
