351DECEMBER 8 Thurs. 1910 Another wintry day. Tonight I went to hear the N.Y. Philharmonics with Meta. Amelie & John took us in the auto. It was fine. Sat up too late & got sleepy. Did a little X-mas shopping today. Fri. 1911 Mild & lovely. Mother came down & we dined with Henry & Chan at the Hospital donation. Henry was so sweet & looked - so fine. Mrs. Danforth bought them toys & so did Nana. Tried on my new velvet dress and tonight went to the hippodome for a change. Read aloud & sewed in evening also played Numerica. Sun. 1912 Mother came up to Claude's to dinner with us today. Dear Nana used up & such a cough! I stay took the children (in a wet cold snowstorm) out to the end of the Park Avenue line & then back to give them their supper & put them to bed. They were such dears! Waited till Claude came. Mon. 1913 Busy. Shopped &c. Lunched with Margaret Bradshaw at Sibley's. Read "T. Tembarom" aloud tonight. Tues. 1914 Gray day & sad. Saw E.A.S. at now (Sibley's) She introduced me to Lou Wilkinson and she to Miss Chamberlain. I ate alone saw Florence afterward & tonight Irene stopped for me awhile but had to go on to the hair dressers. Lots of 'phoning. Harriette Corse was to come but her train was late & she went to the Rochester.
