To the outdoor dinner at Claude's. Henry was simply be- witching this p.m. Took his picture with bow & arrow. Chan & he had presents from Mrs. Ramsdell - just back from Europe. It was showery this p.m. I had coffee with Letitia before I came down. Read Collier's in the evening. My "hay fever" has turned into serious hoarseness. Mon. 1913
E.L.O & "Blonde" - [illegible]!
Labor day. A lovely day as to weather. I moved my things into the front room again (I've been sleeping there all summer). Rearranged & settled. Home all day, only called at Caring's a few minutes (Elsie just home) Played flinch with Mother.
Tues. 1914 Lovely calm morning & turned out quite warm. Seven of us went via launch & Waddy's auto to Big Moose Lake for the day. A lovely road. Went to Dart's camp (on Dart's Lake) first. Had the cedar walk to King's food's camp - a good dinner (sat by Mr. Bush) a nice launch ride around the beautiful lake, a siesta on the grass (with "Bess" the dog) some rain & the upper boat house veranda before that a walk past the cottages. &c. &c. Home for supper (late) & then some of Uncle Billys's interesting stories by the farm. Mr. Mead called to say goodbye &c. He is near here.
