141MAY 20 Fri. 1910
Much warmer today. Lovely
morning. CFB & the children
breakfasted in the porch Seel's to lunch & my
little red-headed friend in the Hippodrome (again) The
Pringles really moved out today & Frieda
is in possession - delighted - tonight. It began to rain about 5:30
& poured all the evening. I took a bath before supper & sat on Piazza
(cats & music box) after Read till about 10 & then accounts &c.
till bed.
Sat. 1911
Thermometer at 92! About
11:30 Claude & I went over to the
Lyceum & sat in a cool box &
heard the rehearsal of "The Great Divide" it was very interesting
& amusing. Mr. Tampdene came & sat with us awhile
then Mr. AnspacherMrs. H.Mr. Hutchins &c. Later I lunched with Alice B. at Sibley's & then went to the Erie & met 4-leaf
clover girls & went to Geneseo,
Zoe Parker met us. We went to the Big
Tree & got our rooms (nice as lovely - *21) &c hers &
2's house & little all thro'! the
Normal then had a good supper & walked over in the
Homestead ground. Went to bed rather early & slept well
Mon. 1912
Busy till rather late
Saw Helen & Chat going to the
century club to dinner (with "jam") Sewed some & wrote
went with Herma to see Meta's Brick church girls &
it poured when we came home.
Tues. 1913
Pleasant (& cool) Walked
around by Minette's
's & had quite a serious talk with her. She is quite
discouraged poor thing. She helps Mrs.
Chapin in the Pine Tree[illegible]
(so does Elsie) Found Mother very tired (Lunched with her this
noon) & felt blue generally
Lydia
