268SEPTEMBER 16 Fri 1910 Another lovely day. Went to the office via. the shoe shiners & staid till 1:30 or so writing a lots of letters interviewing Amelie in re-homes & the Man about typewriters (paid for mine!) & did errands all the way home & back. This p.m. (after a nice chicken dinner) went to the ballgame with Marguerite & Mary D. It was fine. We defeated Buffalo 8-3 came down in car with Mrs. Nash &c. Tonight had visits on p.m. with Fred Jack, May & Florence Rogers & Alice Bradshaw. She says Anderson wants to buy! Packed & fussed all evening. Sat 1911 A beautiful day. Busy-very-all morning. Met Helen D. at noon (or 1:30!) & had a chat with her at Lura's. Then had a late lunch at Sibley's& went out to South Park with "The Harvester", which Nellie Mac sent me, & read two hours or so. It was so lovely there - clear & bright & full of color & a nice sunset (cool after that). Read in the evening too. Henry has long trousers (from Uncle H.) Mon 1912 Rather a dreary morning but cleared off fine for the parade this p.m. The boys & Nana came down & Jim & his Girl and Stern & Marguerite& Katty Edwards & we saw the floats & things & then Mother & Miss McDonell came home one way and I another & Stern finally took Nana & the boys from the four corners. Tues. 1913 A lovely day. Lunched with Florence
at Sibley's and then went to the Horse Show, where we met Bess & Mame & had a delightful afternoon and a dandy show! A pretty sight, of course. Then Mary
& I stayed and did the "Byway" & had "hot dogs" &c. till the rain drove us home.
Wed 1914 Nice day. Came home early this p.m. and went to Frieda's reception for Herma, with Mother. Her Menlo house looked very well indeed & the girls - all four - looked lovely. Later went over to Davis's, Chattie looks badly! Mrs. D. ok.
