64MARCH 4 Fri 1910
Still Spring weather &
floods subsiding. Went to Nan's this
noon & then to Sibley's for sandwich
& coffee.
Mr. Lockwood (of the Remington's office) is back
after a year of nervous prostration - 7 mos. at Dansville &c.
J.G. went to N.Y. this
morning. J.W. wrote him tonight about
Watkins of Glenny's - who says they are going to sell their bldg &
want to come up on the Avenue & so do Scrantom & W.&c. &c. &c!! Marguerite was over tonight & I went to
Mrs. Short's about my new dress.
Sat 1911
Went over to the
Hippodrome this noon & got acquainted with
Miss Eldredge, who sings there. She has memorized
nearly 300 songs in a year!
Mabel came up & made quite a long
call this p.m. It stormed & I enjoyed it. Then I went & sat with
Meta half an hour & then went
out to Miss Limerick's to try on shirt- waists. Had
neuralgia quite bad tonight.
Mother went thro' Clara
Weston (Stroble's) house.
Mon 1912
Busy. Home to lunch.
Nearly finished arranging my Bermuda
(picture) book tonight & sewed. Great excitement about the Kodak
dividends to be distributed among employees.
Tues 1913 Woodlow Wilson inaugurated today (the big suffrage
parade yesterday) I worked hard all day - went to the
Hippodrome this noon. Visited with Lura
tonight & Marguerite came over
this evening. Lydia
here about Van & not getting a telegram from her
Washington man.
Wed 1914 Walter Hampden came this a.m. Just for
the Eight Players (Chicago &c.) He looks thin. Has
lost 15 pounds or so. Was in all the a.m. & awfully nice. Mother came down to lunch & she got me a
lovely new spring bed. Read awhile tonight & there played
