154JUNE 2 Thurs 1910
A little warmer today.
Mr. Bunnell came in the office to see me &
Father came down & took him to
lunch & had a nice visit. He says Edith A.
has a new diamond ring (she told me Mr. Clark wants to
bring it) I saw Herma's cute baby - but
not Herma to- night. She is very pretty
- red hair & blue eyes. Father
read aloud from Scribler's & then I read "It never
can happen again." - which I like. The new [illegible] on
Gilmore's land (Tappan's plans) was put ashed.
Friday 1911
Rather cloudy & dine.
Home to lunch & this p.m. to Claude's where I heard
Mr. Hampden tell his personal religious
& theosophic experiences - very intimately - It was wonderful - I
could understand " The Servant in the House". Later when the
people had gone I had a short but wonderful talk with him. We met - and
parted - as old friends. And I am sure we understand each other. Tonight
I took Marguerite & Mrs.
Nash to "The glass House".
Sun 1912
Another nice day. but warmer.
Went down the lane to take pictures & see the sheep salted this a.m.
- The colts & [illegible] & all the animals came along,
hot coming back - A delicious Chicken dinner & dishes. Then a nice talk up stairs with "Ida
" "in our chemises" at 5 we drove to the station - just after
Ida
& cold left it poured. The train was later. We missed the
Utica Connection & got home - about dead -
between 12:30 & 1:00!
Mother didn't get word I sent! "Good to be
home".
Mon 1913
Took busy to eat this noon.
Claude took me to the first night
of "What it means to a woman". We sat down in front by lovely
Edith Sallfaro
(Mrs. Brownes) some more of her kind. The
Author in a box &c. &c. It was quite fun but we neither of us
liked the play. It was out before 11.
McPond (who likes Anne Meredith
) was in a box with ClaudeMr. Frolingham Tues 1914

Jim's & I rode around with the
boys to school to the station and at noon again (with Clarence
