Mon 1910 Up late. More presents by the mail - awfully busy fussing & in time to go to the matinee - Mother Edith J & I went to see John Barrymore in "The Fortune Hunters" - aw- fully good - a regular country town like Dansville. Nov. 11 1911 Claude's luncheon - Mr. & Mrs Hampden & Mr. & Miss Bragdon (4) Mr. & Mrs. Liesching, Dr. & Mrs. Little (8) Mr. & Mrs. E. Willard, Mrs. Cresswell, Mr. Ed. Ellwanger, 2 Misses Ellwanger (14) Mr. Stern, Mr. & Mrs. Force, Mr. & Mrs.

, Louise Taylor, Miss Daily (31) Mr. Ward, Miss Otis Dr. Hoyt - that's all I can think of - I think 36 came, (a Miss Mullin - came by the Ellwangers didn't) at the dinner last night were, Mrs. Walter Smith, CFB, Mr. & Mrs. Hampden, Judge Werner, Dr. & Mrs. Roby & Dr. & Mrs. Wesley Mulligan. (Walter S. didn't come!! JBA said why)
19 suggested he name the Stern house "Dahlstrom Hall" & he has been dickering with the Dahlstrom - Metallic Door Co. so long about, metal sash! S. said if the did they'd give him the sash - they come down in the price every time he speaks to them! Dec 31 1913. Reading old journals nowadays. They half reveal - and half - conceal my real self - but I'm rather glad I kept them - Silly as some are. I've made up my mind however that this will be the last - as the bests of my life must have past I think is from 26 to 29 (or 25 to 35!) not right witness 1914 & after!! 19 Before I end this I want to say I am Happy! & have learned how to be - by myself & by being with my "dear heart" C.U. & with the prospect of being alone in business with Claude this next year & because I love and am loved - Dear Mother of course.
