173JUNE 21 Tues 1910
Another hot day Dear
Father real sick & had Dr.
Jewett
this p.m. (coming to finish tomorrow). Home to lunch & tonight
"Wednesday Club" & to Miss Limericks
Had quite a visit with them & walked home, sewed a little & had
something to eat at the
Kitchen with Mother
when I heard the fire wagons & it was Conner's hay
place down back of Saunder's at the front of
Exchange St the
Carings came to our piazza & we were all
up late
Wed 1911
Lovely day. Claude started for Cleveland
this a.m. (via. Buffalo & boat) Mother & I went up and had supper with
our Boys. Then walked over to Highland
Park (with Nana) & heard
the concert or part of it saw the Ruliffsons. A lovely sunset.
Henry read me the sign Drive with great
caution "& said it meant "not to bump into signs!" Both boys looked so handsome!
Fri 1912
Nice morning but rained at
noon - after the circus parade. Nana
went up to Cro'nest early & took
the boys. Mother went to
Webster (5 mile line) to spend the day with the
Gastons. I wrote a plumbing spec. lunched with
Bess & Mary & sat with them tonight at [illegible]
lecture on "The Secret of Happiness". Claude went to
New York at 9:45. Very tired when I
got home
Sat 1913.
Nice day (warm) Letitia brought the boys to the 1:40 train
& I took then to Conesus. They did enjoy the trip -
especially the lovely boat ride. At Maple Beach about
4. & played in the stones & read
the Jungle Book &c. &c. nice supper. Took the boys for a
little row after supper (they loved it &) to bed at 8. Had quite a talk on
the Veranda with Mr. Fein his Wife &
(Wellesley) daughter of
Zigler went up with us - to Long Point.
Sun 1914.
Grey morning but nice,
Claude came down with the boys
& went on to the office with Chan &
Henry & I went to South Park via. Brooks
Ave. Stopped at dam, baseball game, bridge (both side's)
shore, light house & walked & way back on the feeder path &
McLean Pt.H. loved it. The rest of the day I
loafed at home,
Jim took Mother to church in the Auto.
