103APRIL 12 Tues. 1910
Fine bright day, but cold
& windy. Lunched with Gil- more
& a new little place around on Main St. & went
to Hippo.Mother had the Autumn
Chapter
this afternoon & served sherbet & cake on her new Golden Wedding
dishes - we had some for supper & to give to the
Rowe's - Mrs. R. (just from
Dansville) and
Marguerite came over this evening. Later I
read "Keziah Coffin" and wrote letters &c - a nice one from
Alice.
Wed. 1911
Lovely morning. The
Flacks came on horse back before I was up. I rode out
to the end of Monroe Ave. & thro' Gilmore's lot & all around thro'
Pinnacle Road & Crosman Terrace.
Not busy today. Visited Miss Stowell
&c. Tonight walked out to Chattie Davis
. It was her birthday & she invited me to supper - (chicken, ice
cream - &c.) Frances was dear &
meet Miss Boyd &c. Later Chat & I
went to Convention Hall
to see
"The Passion Play" in moving pictures - awful!
Fri. 1912
Awfully stormy. Went down to
the steel car barns & got Mother's
umbrella at noon. Missed the car & walked home in the rain. The
paper hangers disap- pointed Mother
&c. &c. We finished reading "The Married Life of the Frederic
Carrolls" tonight. Bath & then bed.
Sat. 1913
Sunshine & otherwise.
Planned an afternoon with Coralyn
, but Bert Eastwood suddenly de- cided to go
to south with Geo. Eastman and so Jim & I devoted the day to finishing his specifications.
I didn't have any lunch at all. Met Chat
in Scrantom's after five & she
took me home with her to her nice birthday supper.
Frankthere & Hamilton came in. Then go North Tuesday.
Franceshas roller skates!
Sun. 1914
A cold - but sunny -
Easter. I was home doing odds & end this a.m.
Ruth D. upstairs with the mumps & the
Boys & Claude came to dinner. Later
they went to S.S. and I went up to Cro'nest & gave them their dinner when
they came home and staid till 8:30 or so (Carmichael
walked out with Marie!)
