81MARCH 21 Mon. 1910
A beautiful sunny day and a
gorgeous moonlight night.
J.G. home and everybody busy. Came home at
noon.
Mrs. B. & Lura still house hunting. Father read "Everybody" tonight & I finished
"Diana". Walked down with Marguerite this morning.
Claude Entertaining
The Humdrum club.
Tues. 1911
Fine clear day. Finished up
spec. for CFB to take to
N.Y. tonight - also
Jim's lecture for tomorrow. Lunched
with Lura (just back from
N.Y.) Mary &
Nellie at Sibley's this noon. Sat Chat, too. Bought a spring hat (with Mary's help) embroidered tonight. Girls came
to look at our room. Amelie had another
operation.
Thurs. 1912
Woke at 4 1/2 to find a
blizzard out- doors, all cars & trains late. Claude
got home from N.Y. Home to lunch. To Claude's to supper. We took the
khedkar's
brass things and the children enjoyed them immensely. Henry "read" to us out of
Char's little hymnal - about "trains"
&c. He was fine. Took a bath & went to bed early.
Fri. 1913
Still warm. Hamilton & Milly
Davis
lunched with me. & we had a pleasant time. They go to
Florida
next winter. I was busy of course and Mother & I alone tonight. It is nice for a change. Rained Hard nice.
Sat. 1914 Mother really "celebrated" her wedding
day today. She & Ruth
in "Young Wisdom" - very amusing and then shopping
& then up on the hill to such a good dinner!
Claude & Eugenie give a supper tonight.
Henry swollen up both sides with mumps!
