365DECEMBER 22 Thur 1910 Did up about the last of the packages (mostly Mother's marmalade) tonight. Meta is living in her new flat. Slept there first last night. It is quite nice. Fri 1911 A rainy day! Spent the morning in the covered porch, sewing &c. And after lunch we had a carriage and took Mrs. Hermione Woodruff to town & shopped. Met Miss Dorothy there & I walked home with her after numerous shopping. It was really a very dreary day, as to weather - so different from the others. Henry is so good - but Chan is spoiled by his Nana. Sun 1912 Did up packages &c (in Lydia
's room) this a.m. To Claude's to dinner. Letitia better but far from me. I stayed all the p.m. (came down her with the children a little while) to let Winnie
 go out. Mon 1913 Shopped a little & went to hippodrome &c. I find I'm practically done. Mr. Stern is homesick - grippe or a fever. Tues 1914 Lunched with Edith J. today & shopped a little. Irene came in for a little visit this p.m. & walked down with me. I went to the mechanics to supper with Florence (& Polly Bush) & then over to the Xmas tree. It was quite nice & lots of people I know. Talked with Sam & Hamilton Griswold &c. Home about 9. Wrote a love letter to C.U. for Xmas morning.
