283OCTOBER 5 Wed 1910 Some cooler, but muggy & rainy all day. CFB says dear little Henny - penny is all right this a.m. Dr. Jewitt & McDowell were there & Dr. Bascom too - & a nurse Selma Kinghorn. I'm glad its over - no tonsils out, either. Claude busy making Chamber of Commerce float for parade. Spent the evening loafing & talking Theosophy with Helen
. Too hot for a fire but it still rains! Thurs 1911 Mother went to Honeoye Falls to Miss'y meeting. I had Nan do my hair this noon & this evening went to see "Pomander walk" with Bess & Mary ". It was like a page out of Thackery. Especially "Brooke Hoskins" Walked home with Miss Carnaby & Miss Piatt - much excited over Frances Wright's new beau! Sat. 1912 Gorgeous weather. Miss Fox and I went down the Maplewood River Path this p.m. for a walk. It was very beautiful & we had a lovely time. Then I went to dinner with Mother at Cro'nest and CFB went off to N.Y. tonight. The Kittens came in & were very cute. Sun 1913. Lovely day. We didn't go to Cro'nest because Margaret
 was sick. Henry came down alone on his bicycle & brought a chicken. Mary Braun & I walked & back with him & then to the Park and then to - & through Jim's house & Mrs Ramsdells (Nana showed us). Went to Lura's new house & for a long walk this p.m. Mon 1914 Hot! Lunched with B & M. Tonight went over to Florence, Clara Abbott was there (east high) but went early. Florence told me her troubles about Edith S. & Irene (EAS is "rushing" her & left Florence out yesterday!) Early this p.m. I went to Mr. Upton's funeral. Rode up with Mr. Churchill!
