104APRIL 13 Wed. 1910
Fine day. Home at noon.
Father not well.
J.W.'s new Locomobile came. Tonight went
with Lura, Nellie, Mary & Mrs. B. to see the "Three
Twins". Very good musical comedy.
Frank brought Frances home from Bedford yester- day.
Wrote and sewed (very) late.
Thurs. 1911
Fine weather still but
tonight it rained at last. I was comfortably busy. Mr.
Crabtree (one of my "Mobile" friend) was
in. He always cares when he comes to town. Laura
Hutchinson told me she was going to sail for
Austria July 1. Tonight I cross- stitched. Went to
bath & bed about 8 a.m. We had Father's desk moved upstairs & the oak book case changed
&c.
Sat. 1912
The paperers came at last
& papered the dining room - such an improvemment! I lunched with
Cad Goler at Sibley's & we looked for hats. Went back to the office
for a little while & down to see J.G's new office with Miss McAffrey
shopped &c. Mother is about sick
and a lame knee - the "other" one. She over did on Wednesday & is
just "all in".
Sun. 1913
Nice day. This morning
Coralyn
& I walked thro' Highland
Ave. & Winton Road from
Monroe to East Ave.
Seeing Gilmore's Judsons &c.
Walked to University cars. To
Claude's to dinner and then Henry & I walked to park. Chan
started with us went back didn't feel well. Later I took them both to
G.V. Park & we viewed what the
flood had left of things. Found the "Nichol's girls"
here when I got back - quite tired.
Mon. 1914
Cold - but clear &
bright. Lunched with Florence at
Sibley's & saw Mame &
Bess. This p.m.
Clarence & I went dog - hunting out on
Fifth St.
Tonight wrote & played flinch with
Mother
& Ruth
& did accounts!
