Sun 1910 Beautiful morning. Father & I went to Cro'nest early & Mother & I went to dinner. It was beautiful - bird watching & all we ate in the piazza. Channie by me & Henry by Gran'ma. It rained afterward - I stayed all the p.m. & played with my darlings & read to them - They were so lovely. Nannawas going out except for the rain. Read on the back piazza when I came home - & inside.
Mon 1911 Cooler, thank goodness - & lovely. Claude saw W.H's children's pictures & says they are beautiful. We went to the first night of Anspacher's play "The Glass House" tonight - a large & brilliant & enthusiastic audience. Claude went with the Carnahan's. It was a very cleverly written play. Wed 1912 A rainy morning - Went to the office & worked till the last minute (11) & met Bess & Mary (& mother) at the station. Got to Utica comfortably with a nice lunch & spent 2 row's with Helen Sayles in the station (it rained). Went on to No. Brookfield at 4:45. Mr "chid" Barron was on the train - Mr. Pintler & the 2 horses met us & we drove to Hilbrook Farm - lovely "Ida
" was at the door - A good supper in a lovely old room. Washed dishes & visited until after 11. Had a lovely room and slept well.
Thurs 1913 A perfect day for Jim's & Helen's wedding. Claude came in all auto about 9:10 & we took the children to Main St. Helen looked perfectly beautiful (Jim too) & the wedding was very simple & short. She wore white satin & lovely bouquet of white roses, lilly of the valley, orchids (see mem) Fri 1914 Busy - Especially in p.m. CFB. went to Canandaigua this a.m. Saw Arnold Dull in The Port of missing men" at the Gordon tonight. Helped put up lunch with Ruth
tonight & a bath later.
