42FEBRUARY 11 Fri. 1910
Fine cold winter day. Lunched at Seel's
with "Jacques" Spencer & Miss
McLaughlin (?) Walked down with Lura tought, shopping a little. Read till two & then took
a bath. Father not well at all to-
night. Elizabeth Pringle was up after supper.
Sat. 1911
A nice winter day. I do think
my dear Brother & Jim are just about perfect so fine and great. It's doing my character good to
be with them! Went to the women's lunch club at
Seneca palm room with Bess
& Mary & heard a Mr.
Bowman of Buffalo on "Communism" &
Sherry on socialism. Then to no. 14 school & saw
Marguerite's Kintergartner's in a dance -
Home with Mother.
Sun. 1912
Still cold. Claude's to dinner (Alice
Mer's first Sunday dinner) I cleaned out my closet & bureau
drawer this a.m. About four 30 went over to
Chattie Davis's, and had a nice visit
& stayed to supper. Frances sang to
me. Got Chat's silk shirt waist
(to try on) wrote &c later.
Tues 1913.
I'm catching up nowadays -
getting ready to be awfully busy soon. Stay down every noon and
sometimes go to picture shows. Read & talk (in -
negligee! evenings.
Tues 1914
Came home to lunch today!
Rode up in the Ford with Jim - Stopping at School for our
boys.
Dressed & went with
Claude
at three to Mrs. Wolf's to hear Mr. Powys
a very English Englishman talk on
"Milton". It was a lovely winter day, changed sitting room
furniture around.
