42FEBRUARY 11 Fri. 1910 Fine cold winter day. Lunched at Seel's with "Jacques" Spencer & Miss McLaughlin (?) Walked down with Lura tought, shopping a little. Read till two & then took a bath. Father not well at all to- night. Elizabeth Pringle was up after supper. Sat. 1911 A nice winter day. I do think my dear Brother & Jim are just about perfect so fine and great. It's doing my character good to be with them! Went to the women's lunch club at Seneca palm room with Bess & Mary & heard a Mr. Bowman of Buffalo on "Communism" & Sherry on socialism. Then to no. 14 school & saw Marguerite's Kintergartner's in a dance - Home with Mother. Sun. 1912 Still cold. Claude's to dinner (Alice Mer's first Sunday dinner) I cleaned out my closet & bureau drawer this a.m. About four 30 went over to Chattie Davis's, and had a nice visit & stayed to supper. Frances sang to me. Got Chat's silk shirt waist (to try on) wrote &c later. Tues 1913. I'm catching up nowadays - getting ready to be awfully busy soon. Stay down every noon and sometimes go to picture shows. Read & talk (in - negligee! evenings. Tues 1914 Came home to lunch today! Rode up in the Ford with Jim - Stopping at School for our boys.
Dressed & went with Claude at three to Mrs. Wolf's to hear Mr. Powys a very English Englishman talk on "Milton". It was a lovely winter day, changed sitting room furniture around.
