235AUGUST 14 Sun 1910.
A beautiful day, but
enervating. I reclined in den & on back porch & read most of morning.
Made a few prints. Mother & I went
to Cro'nest
to dinner - in the piazza. Letitia went
off till seven & Chan didn't get up
till after four. He &
Henry played beautifully - made
"Seneca Park" in the sand &c. They have a hive
of bees & Henry knows a lot about
them already. Claude dear went to
New York tonight. I went to bed early - so tired.
Mon 1911
Nice today. Was very
busy sewing &c. Getting Mother ready
to go to Dansville Old Home week. She's to "reminisce" at
the coterie
Thursday - & help receive.
Wed 1912
Pleasant and warmish.
MotherDem
& Mate & I lunched together -
deliberately - at Sibley's. Then took
the "Seeing Rochester" ride. Mr.
Stern took me home from the office in his Auto. Had a
long visit with the people tonight. Old letters &c. &c.
Tues. 1913
Warmer. Lunched with
Mary Gridley this noon and tonight
planned my packing. As usual everything is full! Bed betimes as I
was tired.
Fri. 1914
Some warmer. More rain this
a.m. Lunched with Bess & Mary again. Helen

sick. Read aloud, did accounts &c. tonight. Our Boys & Eugenie got home this evening. They're been
gone since July 9!
Mr. Witterman died suddenly this evening.
