208JULY 18 Mon 1910 Beauteous day. Bess & Mary lunched with me & I found yesterday Miss Bess's birthday & treated her to the Hospital tonight & had a long talk with Mrs. Priest (Mother too) about why Father should not leave. He must stay we think several weeks longer. He is content now to stay till Sat. Went to Claude's later & had a long talk with him & Jo (about Briarcliff [illegible] &c) Kissed my [illegible] boys good night - very tired - sewed. Tues 1911 Perfect day. Edith went to Mae Gallagher's today. I lunched at Sibley's with Dr. Daily. Felt very tired & used up & eyes ached tonight on Rowe's steps some time. Our new man, Herbert Bohacheck came. Mother read "News Gibbie Gault" aloud. Thurs 1912 Lunched at Sibley'swith Mother & we went down to Duffy's & got her a nice suit case with trading stamps !! Tonight sewed. Took the boys pictures with Stern's camera. Fri 1913 Happened to miss Lura's extra seat today & lunched with the 3 Gilmore's at Sibley's. They are very gracious "Packed" tonight. Meta came over a little while. She's getting the house ready for the Wellers & expected back from Canadice Lake on Sunday. Sat 1914 Still warm. Mother & I went to Conesus on the 1:40 - (a sandwich on the train). A nice ride up the lake & a nice visit with everybody on the Veranda, afternoon & evening. Fancy noon &c. It got so cool we finally had a fire. A.O. & Mrs. A.O. were over some
