255SEPTEMBER 3 Sat. 1910 J.G. & J.W. began this morning stirring up the office readjusting things. Gave Miss B. Miss McA. each $200 a week more salary and asked them to take but one hour noon! I left (with "genial goodbyes") at noon and took the 3:15 train. Mother saw me off - Bess Mame & I arrived at Pt. Breeze in a rather moist condition just in time for supper - after auto - experiences on the road. Walked out to the end of the pier & saw all sorts of nautical sites after supper. 2 beds in 1 room! Sun. 1911 Lovely days. Made blue prints. Went to Cro'nest to dinner with CFB & the dear children & then to call on Jim at the hospital. He has his bed changed so he can see the view. Then to the office for my negatives & to Davis' for a chat with Chattie Frances, who went over to Reinhardt with me, to call. Mr. Bridges & the new baby. Parker(2 mos. old) came by - also Zoe & her mother. Read "The Master's Violin" tonight. Tues. 1912 Quite hot & sultry again. Stern back from Toronto & Jim from Niagara falls. CFB down at 8 o'clock. This noon I went to the Station with him & we met Letitia & the boys and saw the great, beautiful station and around it. I rode up with them. Henry staid "I like to watch the progress of the work!". Tonight sewed & read & played flinch with Mother. Feeling some better. Wed. 1913 A muggy day and rain at night. Marguerite is back . Phoned in the morning came in this p.m. - looking fine. Went too poor Sherby
's funeral at 2 o'clock (Ben St.) Not Florence McL. (just back) Mr. Ancona and lunched with Miss Mc. Donald (!) in McCurdy's. Coralyn writes she isn't coming back. Claude wants me to take the children to the Islands for Henry's birth- day - & I think I will. Read & wrote tonight. Mr. Bohachek back from Asbusy Park.
Thurs. 1914 Fine day. Up early. The girls went off up to Raquette Lake with Bert for the dark. I went down to the dam. Early with Miss Carpenter & had a lovely milk by myself over to Little Kiler Lake coming back met Rude Billy & Aunt [illegible] in the auto & they made me go back to North's with them for a visit a nice dinner - nice camp, pegee & dogs &c. A real nice time & home late. Uncle B. & I waked all the way back & Aunt G. part. Had a jolly supper & moonlight & firelight afterwards. Bushes have gone.
