248AUGUST 27 Sat 1910 Lovely cool day. Lunch in Seel's balcony. Talk with Charella. Go to part of Hippodrome. 2 o'clock car to Sea Breeze. Girls on beach- Bess & Mary. Then Capt. Gridley & Myra

& the Baetzels. 4 girls go in bathing - some pictures. Talk of Point Breeze. Back between five & six to Mother's good supper - an open fire and a nice evening. Read, talked &c. They brought cape cod photos. Invitation to California from Con.
Sun 1911 A Foggy morning but a lovely day. After break- fast (by the big wood fire) I went down to the "Geronia" dock (with the assistance of Parquet - the drivers) but the boat wasn't in. Talked with the Custom House man & found the Pratts. Went back & all 4 started from the Chateau at 10 & took the ride to Spencerwood & Sillery (red Jesuit Mission) the cemeteries. Wolf's cove & the old Town (& avalanche road. Bak at 12:30. [illegible] the hotel (bed where [illegible] died &c.) & the Pratts staid to dinner (tipsy waiter) sat on the [illegible] went to English Cathedral &c. & to boat [illegible]. Dinner on board & started up river at 7. On deck till bed time. Tues 1912. Busy on model specification & I am having all the symptoms of real hay fever - not much fun! Miss MacDonald taking care of a woman with her leg cut off - over Carroll's saloon! (charity case!) Wed 1913 Lunched with Capt. and Edith J. and Lura came after. Went to a picture show & read in the evening after a call on Mrs. Caring. Thurs. 1914 Mate Willard here. We lunched at Sibley's (3 of us) shopped and tonight had a late (very late) talk as usual. She has been over to Lew Jones' too.
