130MAY 9 Mon. 1910
Pouring rain this a.m. (&
I so sleepy!) but cleared off for the beginning of
the Ball Season (Newark beat 4-1!) came home to lunch. J.W. in N.Y. and I worked
on J.G's books a good deal of the day.
Had a little visit with Lura, Mary & CFB. Tonight
Father read aloud & I sewed & then
finished "Everybody's". The Pringles are
moving out.
Tues. 1911
A beautiful day. Lunched
with Bess at Sibley's. Got my own supper. Read & got
very
sleepy. Had a "white night"
Claude & Hampden talked till two a.m!
Thurs. 1912
At last our furnace fire is
out (first time since September) & of course it rained & got
chilly, so Mother and I had a nice cozy
grate fire tonight & did enjoy it as of old. The furnace went out
yesterday so we couldn't start it up (I didnt't want
it)!
Fri. 1913
Quite cold today.
Coralyn

Gorsline's cottage at the lake (Ruth
D. away over Sunday) Claude
went to Scottsville & Eugenie dog hunting. I walked down town & then went to
"Captain's" & she walked out
to the to the Fresh Air School (janitor Lee
