50FEBRUARY 19 Sat 1910 A lovely winter's day - clear, bright & cold. Mother cleaning (Mary couldn't come) I stayed down - (Seel's & Hippo) and tonight Miss Flack & I went all thro' the new part of the building - with Mr. Gilmore part of the time. Charella moves into her new studio in the Tower next week & Claude soon. Reading & bath tonight. Sun 1911 May Rogers died. Nice morning. Got up to breakfast at 8:30 - but keep quiet all morning. Went over to see Meta at noon. Theo had fixed her up in one of the twins'
brass beds. Cro'nestfor dinner. Chan & Henry in little Phil's striped suits - very cute I photographed them. They & Nana& Mother & I came down the hill together. I went to Rowe's [illegible] to Edna's & Nana to Columbia Ave. Read &c. afterward more Neuralgia tonight. Read "Aurora Leigh".
Mon 1912 Nice day & a busy one - warm. Stern is back. Ziegler has gone to Eastman's. Tonight I read a lot of old letters. Edith's - Marys - &c. and tore them up. They were very interesting in the light of what followed them. Wed 1913. Real warm. Jim & I walked home together. Stern in N.Y. this week and it's rather lonesome without him. Our new draughtsman. Grzybowski - has rented a house & sent for his wife. Mar- guerite & Isabel Stewart called tonight. Thurs 1914 Warmer. Back "on the job" but still with a cold. Lunched with Bess (accidentaly) at Sibley's.
