262SEPTEMBER 10 Sat 1910
Lovely day. Washed dishes.
Went to Mrs. Farmer
to phone, Kath & Henry & Letitia & Chan came down
and at 12 I met Lura and Mary and took them to lunch at Sibley's. Stopped at
Cutler's to see Alice who is dis- gusted. The Catholics are grafting
everything got some of my pictures & then went to So.
Park & met Mother.
Kath
the boys & Letitia (driving) &
spent the p.m. there watching
Frisbie'sbiplane get ready. Took one turn around the park &
saw lots of people I knew. Stull'sWray's - western
Aldens, Whitneys &c &c &c. He
flew at last - after five - beautifully came down [illegible] by
Red Creek! Flack's were over tonight by the
fire. Edith invited me to
Wray's camp!
Sun 1911
A gorgeous day. Made prints
all the a.m. & read "Queed" and "Three Plays"
all the p.m. up at Claude's. Nana went out & I dressed the children
when they woke up & sat with them on the piazza. They were dears. Herbert Moyer (our up-
stairs lodger) announced his engagement to "Miss Lizzie
Herden, 114 Berlin St. Rochester
N.Y." - They are to be married in April 1912 & take
"Luther"
Thurs 1914
Fine day. All of us (10)
including the Dellons) went by launch & trail to
8th Lake & cooked a great dinner which we had on the Big
Rock "We have such nice time on Thursday" Mr. Cooke says.
Then caught grasshoppers (not me) & we 4 girls went north on the old
Uncas Road (lovely) over 3 broken bridges
across the swamp land (herons) & thro' the balsams (deer tracks).
Back at 4 & Ruth rowed all over to
Michaels (river deserted which we explored) New Balsam in
the Shack. At the campfire Mrs. C. sang the "Bogie Man
Rag" in costume - all white & very effective.
