146MAY 25 Wed 1910 Cooler but cloudy & horrid. CFB. says the boys talked about "the waggin with" woke "tossin out"
(calliope) &c. Also rode their horses chair fashion. I lunched with Mrs. Flack at Seel's & we went to the Hippodrome (no good) Tonight went over to Meta's for a little visit (Scarlet fever, circus - &c. They are to rent) the old shed for a garage. Later I played flinchwith Mother & read a little & tended cats. Good and tired at 11. No comet now-a-days- Tail & even head splitting up when seen.
Thurs 1911 Beautiful day. Lunch down. Bess sick with neuralgia. Went to see the Lyceum players in The Great Divide (Box Party. CFB. Mother, Mrs. B. & Lura & Letitia) It was fine & Mr. & Mrs. Hampton best. He was almost too handsome & refined - especially at first. Sat 1912 Mary mac nearly has nervous prostrationagain! A beautiful day - Very strenuous with Stern dictation - Mr. S. goes to Baltimore again torn in (Father sick) The boys & Nana & Mother went to the station (& Henry drew a picture of it later) I came home to lunch & Marguerite, Mrs. Nash, Winifred Daily, Mary Daly, Dolores
& I went to Brockport on the canal. Had a nice time, too. Lunch on board - ice cream at Spencerport, moving pictures & [illegible] phosphate at Brockport &c. Home about 10:30.
Sun 1913 Pleasant & cool. Went to the office this a.m. Then to Cro'nest - Claude's Eugenie was there today are lovely. but oh! how he & they do need her! We walked down to Jim's lot. Later I met Jim, Helen, Mrs. A
, Louise & they came here a little while. Mother & I were sitting by the fire listening to the music box when Lydia
came (just from Buffalo) for a little visit - Then I read and wrote some.
Mon 1914 Warm. Lunched with Bess & Mary. Jim took us to Highland Park tonight (we picked up Ruth K. & Ruth D
, left Louise & then got Mother & Mrs. K. Lilacs &c beautiful! Meet the Joe Humphreys. Enjoyed a late and good supper - Ruth
& I got.
