300OCTOBER 18 Tues 1910 Lovely warm day. Rochester Day. got down early & Claude was everywhere Marguerite came over at 10:30 and she & I walked up East Avenue and saw the floats & took home pictures. Then came back to Hammond where Mother Celia, Letitia Henry, Chan. Mrs. Little (?) Miss Stebbins - Jimmy

&c were & saw parade - Our float best. saw [illegible] bands from Lura's. Claude came in a minute. Home early. read &
sewed - lovely snow.
Wed 1911 Cleared off again & was fine by afternoon. Kittredge & Pfau here this p.m. Claude got the dearest letter from W.H. - who certainly loves him. Marguerite & I planning to go to Niagara & meet the Bratts
. Finished one of my books (late) tonight.
Fri 1912 Home to lunch. To Cro'nest tonight with Mother. Claude left for N.Y. at 9:45. The boys showed some fine school work - leaves, writing &c. Sat 1913 Rain! Which spoilt over plans for Geneseo Horse show. Lunched with Marguerite & had a nice visit. Then went over to the YWCA & then to the Art Gallery with Meta, Mrs. Ewers. Ethel Manchester the twins
and Frey children . Later to Mrs. Baker's A dark rainy unpleasant day. The gallery & exhibition are fine.
Sun 1914 Our Sunday at Bommansville we pouring rain (!) but a nice one anyway - even the Garden & a walk by lantern light Lovely eats
, visits, music, drinks(!) & jollification
such a lovely house. "The joy house" is a good name. Had Victrola "a long way from Tipperary" &c. and "[illegible] Unabridged". Lots of fun
