79MARCH 19 Sat 1910 The babies were down to No #415 with Winnie
this a.m. Warm. Spring day. This noon Meta & Lyons Williams came in to look at the house. J.G. came home today after 2 weeks - option not taken up!) Had supper at Sibley's - Dora Odle's table - with Mary, Nellie & Ida Mac and then went to hear Henry Miller in "Her Husband's Wife". A farce (really) well acted. "The Mollusc" told in quite) Another way - Came up with the Behns - Amelie, John, Meta, Frieda & Lyons, who'd been there.
Sun 1911 Dully, soggy day. Went downtown both a.m. & p.m. & worked on the NYC specifications. Jim was there (went with Mr. Clubb to look at a lot) & Frank
& in the p.m. Rob Tappan busy with Bess's house. Claude's to dinner late p.m. A nice long visit with the Rogers - Florence
, Belle, Agnes
, & Mr & Mrs. Sauer - Staid to supper & helped Florence
wash the dishes. She told me about her friend Gertrude
's troubles (Buffalo)
Tues 1912 Very busy all day - Specifications &c. Claude to go to Trenton today & speak in N.Y. this eve. It was warm & spring like. A lot of ice came down the river. Moyer fixed Lura's clock. Tonight Mother & I read sewed till we were sleepy - it wasn't long. Then I wrote & indexed & read - I sleep in the den lately. Hony
Thompson & his wife came up in the car with me.
Wed 1913 Lovely day. Went to Miss Godines's show in Hamilton's limousine with CFB & Mother. Nana & Minnie
were there. & some more. The boys both spoke [illegible] very nicely. It was fine. Went to the Theos. head quarters to lunch afterwards (Chat & Mabel &c.) & walked home via Minnette
's tonight. Coralyn
went home for Easter vacation. Lovely moonlight night.
Thurs 1914 Miss Haycock (& Miss Hecock!) called on Ruth
tonight (they are in her class) & I found she was in Brantford and lived opposite Nell Weir Ashton & knew Maud & Hilda &c. &c. We had quite a session talking over what has happened to them. Maud's husband is quite a person - (Westmount, Montreal) They go to Cap-à-l'Aigle summers &c. &c.
