214JULY 24 Sun 1910
Very warm. Went to the
Hospital about 10 & staid
till after one. Dear Father seems
comfortable but weak. Dr. Jewett is feeling rather
discouraged about him (his stomach) Went to Cro'nest to dinner had a nice visit with Jo afterwards. The boys went to bed.
"Nana" looks brown came home &
read & rested till dark.
Then a thunder storm
no lights & the music box
Mon 1911
Pouring rain this a.m. but it
cleared before I went. Auntie was sick again this a.m.
& I left her just revived. Took a cab to the new station & the 9
o'clock train to Syracuse. There a close connection
& to Rochester with two babies and their mother
going to Astabula. Read. Home to dinner & then to
the office in the p.m. Awfully tired - bed early - a big wind storm raging
there & on the lake.
Wed 1912
Lovely day. Busy up yo
Cro'nest at noon to lunch with
Jo & the boys. A nice little visit.
They are planning to go to Coborg. Tonight did lots of
errand and ended up at a picture show. All the evening
packed & got ready.Got my trunk down &c. Saw the
Rowe's a little while -
Marguerite came to tell me that
"Sue" Galloway
(Alice's) was born at 3:15 this
afternoon. Lura & Helen go to 1st St.
H. tonight.
Thurs 1913
Better than yesterday.
Lunched with
Lura &c. Eugenie came to the office & met the boys who were
delighted with her (especially Stern
& Bohachek) Wrote tonight and was
in bed. It is cooler.
