40FEBRUARY 9 Wed 1910
A strange day as to weather.
Woke up early (upstairs) & it was very mild - almost rain at noon -
so dark we had to eat by Electrics in our light dining room for lunch - a
white mist this pm. Frost on the wires when I came home (and such dim
electrics!) and a sticky blizzard (but beau- tiful) tonight. Went over to
Marguerite's while our lights
misbehaved & read (with Tinker
Bath & bed
early - rather tired. Alice not coming this
week.
Fri. 1912
Cold day. Wrote
Barnard's Spec,
Mr. Stern started for
N.Y. tonight. Read

again. It is so fine! Home to lunch & a quiet
evening.
