Rained all night & a soggy
morning. CFB
came down but his cold is had. I was very busy on specifications.
Invited Cad Goler to lunch & had a
nice time with her. Walked down with Alice
again. Had sold his Father's horse & cow & taken the money
& her father had spoken to her in 3 mos. &c. &c. Wrote 6
letters tonight. Business (JRS) and others.

The ground covered with snow

Carmichael
is papering the play room. A horrid chilly dark muggy day. Herbert Stern is in our office. He came
Monday. Tonight read "The Patrician" & aloud from the
magazines, Gurdon called this a.m. Called on
Meta.
Sat 1912 Claude gave a very charming luncheon today
at the Club for Burgess,
who drew goops on the dinner cards. There were CFB. Mrs. WernerG.B.Mrs. Olmsted, Mr. Curtice (a nice artist)
Miss Marie WernerMr. Olmsted, M.B.Mr.Stern "Clara Louise"
Jim & Mrs Allen.
We watched Miss Sill's dancing class, after. Then I
worked till 6. This ever we all sat around. Lydia
&
Mrs Adams had been "batting" & brought home candy. I
sewed a little & read a little.

Perfectly lovely day. Spent
the morning at home (Manas list &c.) Claude's to dinner Didn't go
to Claudes to dinner (girls changing) but
went up & took Henry for a long
walk - & a beautiful one - in Seneca Park. He is certainly a nature -
lover - a real one and quite wonderfully so for child. Had a latish
hearty supper with Mother.

Lunched with Marguerite
today. Irene came in tonight.
just for a minute or so. I was
very sleepy tonight.
