254SEPTEMBER 2 Fri. 1910 Beautiful day. Miss. Garfield went at 8:53 & Mother saw her off. Home to lunch. Edith Andrews & Mr. Clark called at the office this p.m. Tonight Mrs. Rowe called. Then I packed, wrote, figured &c. The CMC Co. gave me my 2 weeks vacation money! Sat. 1911 Warmer - much. Busy all a.m. Henry & Chan here to dinner (see mem. ) & good p.m. This p.m. developed 3 dozen rolls (with one powder!) & then went to the White City with Mary & Nellie Mae. Bess& Mame saw a hydroplane - but not going. Came home early - in a shower. Wrote and figured must of the evening. Mon. 1912 Labor day. Nice enough early but poured at noon and after. I went to the office & developed film and did Manas accounts &c. Tried to sleep (up stairs) We were going to Davis' tonight but decided not to. Marguerite home. We "Hustlers" are losing the pennant to Toronto. Tues. 1913 Very hot. Went down town to the back &c. and lunched with Klemmy. Came up with Miss Salyerd - at 4 went out to Frey's in the Auto with Jim. (It's Amelie's birthday) Read a little tonight but it was so hot! Wed. 1914 Hot & Muggy. Went over to Michael's camp opposite ("with wreck") & all thro' it with Mr. M. I had a visit with votes - for - women - Mrs. M. Then went up the trail to Wheeler Brook, & beside it - pretty! After dinner went up the "coast" & visited Mrs. Bowen & "Havins! Monty" The dog. While Bess went in bathing. Hustled home just at fire on hard thunder shower. (Which we enjoyed in the open camp.) Mrs. Sargis gave us a "reading" (she to in all) tonight. "Polly of the Circus" &c. & we all did upun hair like hers!!
