316NOVEMBER 3 Thurs 1910 Both overslept. Claude better today - His wedding day. Gurdon came in hilarious. His just order come from Mrs. Tom Thumb for a chair. Took Claude down to see Lura's shades &c. Finished "Kingsmead" tonight. Took a bath & went to bed early - and tired. Letter from Harrys Edith

Fri 1911 Better weather. Lunched with Lura & Mrs. B at Sibley's. Had chats with Margaret Bradshaw. Ray Hanna & (this pm) (Alice Galloway. Went to Hippodrome. Tonight called at Carings (with Chesnuts) up late fixing pictures. Mother cleaned living rooms. Sun 1912 Ground covered with snow this a.m but it soon disappeared. "Carlin" went to church with Miss Cooper & Mother went. Lydia
, Mrs. Adams & I walked up to Cro'nest for a visit with "Nana" (Claude went to N.Y. with Burgess last night) & took Henry& Chan over to Highland Park via. the wood path to the Pavilion & back (delighted!) Mother came to dinner & Letitia's friends the Shaws were there. Then I went to the MacArthur's new house & to Davis's. Both girls had toast and tea with us.
Mon 1913 The awful details this a.m. of the drowning of Mrs. Bennett. Edith Scott's sister in Syracuse - her husband ran the car into an open canal bridge. Florence will be all broken up over it. Edith's abroad for a year. The weather is mild & pleasant. Tues 1914 Election Day. Went to the dressmaker's (Miss MacDonalds's) in a.m. Down to Miss Upton's to lunch & to get things. Back at 3 (a lovely p.m.) & "kept shop" while the boys had a holiday. Met Florence later and sent Irene a rose by her. E.A.S. didn't materialize. There was a lady in her car.
