342NOVEMBER 29 Tues 1910 Everything covered with snow this morning but the house warm & cozy. Lunched down town with Bess & Mary (after Hippo) They are talking of building a house on their lot [illegible] & Tappan says he will give them his $2600 plans. I went over to see Marguerite - who has been sick & then read "The Caravaners" aloud to Mother & she to me while I served. Ed Gordon came in to see us today - just the same! Wed 1911 Nice day. Talked a lot with Claude. I do love that boy! Everyone Xmas shopping & Sibley's Xmas windows fine! Mother went to prayer meeting for a change tonight. We read aloud (in turn) and I cross - stitch &c nearly every night. I read magazines in the den - up late tonight. Fri. 1912 Went to Cro'nest early - to get some books. Jim had a nice talk. Alice Wolfe came in! Lunched with her & had a good visit. Met Hana who introduced me to his Miss Waite in the elevator! Went to Miss Loom's with books this noon! Walked home, part way with Margaret Bradshaw. Tonight Arranged Portage pictures for a book for Lydia
(& one for me) Bath and bed rather late.
Sat. 1913 Early this p.m. went to Cro'nest and kept house. Claude & Eugenie went to Wyoming at four. Chan & Henry came in at 5 - few of "Cow Punches" love "initiations" &c. I gave them their supper put them to bed & read to them from the wonder book after they got there. Then read to myself from the "Passionate" friends" till 11. Slept in Claude's room. Sun 1914 Lovely!
