333NOVEMBER 20 Sun. 1910 Rather dark day. Gurdon came while we were eating breakfast and staid all the a.m. & to dinner. Claude & the boys & L. came to that (we had Mary Ward - & a turkey dinner) Nan & Gurdon went over to college place later & Nan came back for supper. G. went to Hubbard's & then came after her & took her to the train about 8:30. We sat by the fire & talked. Nan & Mother & I - a long time wrote later. Mon 1911 Helen
& Motherlunched with me at Sibley's & they were to shop afterwards but it got very stormy so they went home. In the evening Helen
took me to "The Girl in the Taxi" one of the worst I ever heard. We were up till 1:30 talking! Awfully tired - Mr. Rogers dictated.
Wed 1912 Came home to lunch for the first time in a long while. Tonight Mary & Nellie Mac called. They both looked so nice! Went to bed early (for me?) Thurs 1913 Awfully busy - sending out books &c. &c. I went to the "Ad Club" luncheon with Clemmy Goodyear this noon. It was quite jolly - & then out to Frey's & Sterns with Jim & "H. Moreland". (the latter with no over coat!) Worked till 8:30 after that & was "done up" at night. Claude quite sick with his "grippe". Fri. 1914 Up earlier. C.U. in my bed with hugs & kisses. She says I have given her a good time! & She is treating me to the whole thing! Breakfast & lunch to- gether. Looked at ball room, roof garden &c. Got M.W. candy for Mother& finally said "goodbye" in Vantines. Went to Meta's to lunch. Marion & the "Little Red Irene" & Kath just back from India & Knitting for the soldiers. Then to Mabel's 245 W. 104th. Met the 2 Stallman's at dinner & Miss Hamilton of "The Lilac Domino" later on (at Wed. night) Mabel & I went to see Mrs. Pat Campbell & especially Philip Merivale in "Pygmalion" (Bernard Shaw) slept in a Stallman room - but not much!
