234AUGUST 13 Sat 1910 Lura's birthday and another lovely day. A momentous one for me because I've got to decide whether to leave the Cutler's. Claude wants me and wants me now and when I read that letters of JG & I think I shall go. This p.m. Claude came and we talked. I washed dishes, made prints and wrote letters and in the evening after our late supper read. Mrs. Carson called, very tired and simply - but now a bath & bed! Sun 1911 A lovely day, but cool. Had Neu- ralgia a little in the night. Fussing all morn- ing & went to Claude's to dinner. Took (birthday) pictures of him & the boys & the Ramsdell cats. Had a nice talk with CFB. Then went to the office & developed film & later to Lura's birthday at Chat's. Lobster, chocolate cake, ate &c! A long talk on the piazza & Chat read "Davis Green". Wrote later! Tues. 1912 The Boys and Nana & Aunt Jo went off to Coburg this morning. It was warm & pleasant. Mate & Dem came up for a little visit from Conesus this p.m. Visited all the evening, of course and was up late! My pictures are fine! Wed 1913 Lovely day. This p.m. at 4. Jim, Helen, Mother & I in the Ford, and Amelie, John, Donald, Dorothy & Theo in the Frey car went out to Mae Stull's and saw the lovely house and had a fine sausage - corn - &c. Such in the grove and home by moonlight. It was simply stunning, car headlight went out coming home but Jim drove OK - (almost hit another car on Methodist hill!) 34 miles in all. It was certainly fine Thurs 1914 Warmer & nice. Rode with Jim to Babcock's Bradys & Judsons this a.m. Lunched with Bess & Mary & invited Bess to come here next week while Mary & "Auntie" are away. *Read "Laddie" & sewed tonight & played flinch with Mother. Sleeping in back room.
