111APRIL 20 Wed 1910 Lovely morning but rather cold & damp later everyone delighted over Aldridge's defeat. Home to lunch. After supper had a visit with Marguerite, Mrs. R
& Mrs. Nash & later Mrs. Short walked to the corner with Amelie & Theo & late Mother & I chatted with Mr. Moyer. Father read aloud &c. Tinker
very cute today. Farquharson sent Henry a windmill.
Thu 1911 Edith A. lunched with me at Sibley's today. She isn't very much in love with her "man" I imagine. Tonight I went down to supper with Lura and then we went up to Mabel's & had a long visit - till after ten & Mabel was dear. Didn't see Florence
but did Clare
. They are all mourning terribly. Sat up & finished my book tonight.
Sat 1912 Nice bright day. Went to amateur "Patience" this p.m. at the Lyceum. Burr, Curtiss, Culp &c. very good. J.G. in a box. Had lunch with Klemmy Goodyear beforehand and also a little visit with Margaret Bradshaw. Read newspapers tonight. Claude has hired Miss Elizabeth Jaquish (a trained nurse recommended by Miss Sondeman
& Miss Sloan) to take care of the boys.
Sun 1913 Chan far from well. Went down to the office & got Jim's cunning little model house to take the boys. After dinner gave it to them & they were delighted. Coralyn
& I went to Charlotte (on car with Mr. & Mrs Farmer) & walked to Big Elm Farm but Lydia
had come home. We had her overr tonight by a nice grate fire. Oscar Brown introduced his sister.
Mon 1914 Cloudy. Frieda & Leslie moved to Menlo Park. Saturday but - Frieda was very sick all day & Sunday & is now at the hospital. Lunched (accidentally) with Bess & Mary at Sibley's & saw Florence
. Was just about used up tonight but up rather late talking to Ruth K. (The Sea Breeze job!)
