Hot again. To Hospital early. Father still restless. Lunch with Trudy & Bess &
Mame at Duffy's
Too hot to shop & we time. At night to [illegible]
Burke's for black brillantine skirt. Prices
Letitia & Trudy's Aunt) to
Cro'nest to see Jo &c. the dear (3) boys & get "Freckly"
& Say goodbye to Letitia
(Russell Is tomorrow) Herma & baby went home. Agnes
Cunningham died at 2 p.m.
Thurs 1911.
Slept on steamer chair
& ground under the butternut (Celia too) & in the
[illegible]
room and so on all night or till very early this a.m. It was coolish out
doors but no- where else. Claude was
some better but
very weak. I staid up there all the a.m. (Nana went down town) Did a Noah's ark bib &
one for "Becky" and after lunch went to the office & was busy all
p.m. Bed early wind up tonight. A little breeze at last.

The hottest day yet this
summer (about 90') Didn't mind it till toward night. Mabel, Florence
, Mary& Lura
launched with me at Sibley's & we
had a very nice time - a cool table near the window.
Afterward the Rogers went to see
"Uncle Tom's Cabin"(!) and Mary, Lura & I do "45
minutes from Broadway. Was awfully hot so went home of
cooled off & changed my dress & then went up to
Cro'nestfor supper with CFB the Boys & Mother. Marguerite
called for me and we walked over to the park & then
went down town for candy. Took a bath when I got home.
Sun 1913.
Cool. Almost cold - this a.m.
[illegible] windy. To the town to see the breakers. Fire in
all the fire places - very cozy & nice. Off on the boat at 9:15.
wind - Our car waiting. Hill trip. Mostly on observation car Veranda to
Toronto. Luncheon with
Mrs. Warrant. Late dinner after
Brantford - Jolly afternoon.
Buffalo full of Elks (but not in our car!) Arrived
late. 11:00 or so. Home before 12, very tired. Fine time "glad to be home"
feeling. Mother up!

with Bess & Mary accidentally) Jim
started to teach me to run the auto - up on Reservoir
Ave - tonight (only a few minutes though)
