357DECEMBER 14 Wed 1910 Channie's birthday party this p.m. because "Father" is going to N.Y. tonight. (with the plans & specifications we have been labouring on) It was such a nice party. The Bacon's (3) Joe Roby & Jimmie Little a sleigh ride and a magic lantern! Meta told me the history of Mrs. Koch's life tonight! Thurs 1911 Another dark sticky day. Chan had his party. Ann and Budge Smith, the Little boys Percy & Louise Freeland and "the James Baby" that "Brang" Chan. A "mousie" he liked. I went up just as it was over. This evening Mrs. Rowe and Marguerite came over for awhile. I lunched with Lura & Her mother & Frank D. at Sibley's. Sat. 1912 Milder. Frank Frey leaves us today. Lunched at Sibley's (an awful crowd) did errands, went to a picture show & finally home to help get supper. Read tonight. Minnie had Channie down here this afternoon. Letter from Claude - good time for. Sun 1913 Mild & lovely but cloudy in the midday. After dish washing, Mrs. K. & I went to Cro'nest to leave Chan's horse & stable & then to the Conservatory (lovely! Nana& Mrs. R. there) & then up around the Park. After dinner Henry& I met Ruth
& went to Sea Breeze, measured the Vacation house & had a lovely walk thro' the woods beautiful "mountain" clouds. The nubbly way back. Stopped at Mrs. Crouche's a minute.
Mon. 1914 Cold day and blizzard in night. Lunched at Sibley's with Mother Bess & Mary. Shopped quite a bit (Xmas seems easy this year!) and had a nice grate fire again tonight. Had a nice letter from Florence which made me proud indeed.
