291OCTOBER 9 Sun. 1910 Pale Sunshine & Clouds. I experimented with the furnace are fine this a.m. Then with Jim's Kodak Frank
at the office - where I developed 6 good pictures in about a hour & a quarter! - Talked with Mr. Faught, who was there there. Went to Cro'nest to dinner. Then "nutting" with Henry in the woods and when we got back Chan was up & they played in the sand went to Mrs. Taits (not home) read awhile & then went to Edith's to supper and to Elsie's later. Saw the new house & gave them pictures - then wrote &c &c.
Mon. 1911 Busy as usual. Elsie W. sent me more camp postals. The other day Chan. asked Henry what the Theosophical society was. Henry did "Oh, they sit round and talk." Chan! What do they talk about." Henry "Oh, you're too young to understand Channie"! Henry is an angel he's so good lately. Wed. 1912 Worked pretty hard lunched with Bess & Mary & heard their troubles (They are homesick in the new house) & was working hard at 5:30 when Herbert Stern came in & took me away & home in the Electric ('way to the front steps!) It is raining hard tonight Thurs. 1913 Warm & rather depressing. I lunched & dined downtown and went to Edith's new home (409 Lake Ave.) in the evening. Didn't stay long as I was very tired. Fri. 1914 Warmer, lunched with Bess. Had a real thunder shower tonight. Mother was tired & we played flinch a long time and read aloud &c. Have had a furnace fire sometime but it's too warm
