269SEPTEMBER 17 Sat. 1910
A lovely morning. Mother went with me to the station and we met
Edith there. Had a nice trip to
Schenectady and a lovely chicken lunch. Ran for the DXH
train & met Gertrude & Frances Braley in Saratoga.
Had a nice p.m. - walking around to Canfield's Garden -
Hawthorn spring
and the stores. Mrs Braley sent a
lunch which in had in Walton Park. The girls left 6:10 and me at
6:30 - at Stony creek we rode up to the Inn (3 miles) in the
stage in the most beautiful moonlight I ever saw. Had two nice rooms.
Lots of hunters going out tonight.
Sun 1911
A heavenly beautiful day! I
fussed around with blue prints &c. all the morning & at noon we
went to Claude's to dinner. The boys
were in their long trousers (Chan's with [illegible]) looked so cute. I took some pictures. Afterward
we - Mother the boys & I - went to
the hospital to see
[illegible]Jim - who has lost much flesh. Then got
back (across the fields) just in time to say how-do-do to
Dr. & Mrs. Hoyt &
Dr. Seymour - who were taking "Father" for an auto
ride. Then I went (by the park to Helen D.'s
to supper - Lura there too. Stopped to
see Clubb's house also.
Tues 1912
Nice day. Claude back from N.Y.
& all very busy indeed.
Wed 1913
Rain this morning. I shopped
this noon and tonight went to the "Gordon
Theatre" & home to read and bath bed. Rather warm &
muggy. Read new "Century".
Thurs 1915
Had the lovliest ride today
with
Jim & Herbert Stern & a bag of primes way out to 9 mile point
and beyond & to Rogers lovely lake
front & back thro' Webster & the float Bridge.
The weather is perfect & has been since last Saturday a.m.
