62MARCH 2 Wed 1910
Still warm. Snow fast melting
& floods everywhere - up the valley & especially down the
Mohawk. Herkimer way under.
J.G. reminisced about
Albany in 1873 today. I went up to Anson
Place this noon & got $10.00 of a
Mrs. Myers. Mother lost
it in Sibley's yesterday & traced
it with the money order girls! Marguerite
was over tonight & later Mrs. Nash. Read
"Everybody's". Henry
refers to himself & Chan as "both
of me".
Thurs 1911 Mabel lunched with me at
Sibley's today. Rather "solemn cholly"
Afterward we stopped in Lura's.
Mother
went to Mr. Stone's installation tonight & I
had a visit with Marguerite, whose
Aunt Mary is going blind - one eye did- suddenly - the other day.
Sat 1912
Bright & pleasant. Went to
lunch (late) with Mother & then
shopped. Went to the dressmaker's &c. with her (her silk with white
stripe) Spent the evening cozily at home with a grate fire. Claude came in about 9:30 or so.
Sun 1913
Very blustery & duffy but
some sun. Mother went to church with
Mr. Buell & Claude
took her back in a taxi - shopping for me. Good dinner. Pasted pictures
in photo books. Changed my room around - back early to enjoy it. A nice
grate fire tonight.
Mon 1914
20 inches of show this a.m.
& no cars running till after nine & then in bunches.
Ruth
& I caught one however. It snowed almost all day too. Lots of
people didn't come out at all but Mother
went to the Autumn Chapter! I shoveled
&c. Lunched at Sibley's. Not very
busy nowadays.
