237AUGUST 16 Tues. 1910. Warm day. Mary phoned to ask me down to their tent to supper and to stay all night (Edith too, but she couldn't come) I went and it was lovely. Met Hanna on the shore. He'd been tipped out of his canoe and lost his pocketbook and $15.00 in the surf. We walked down to the pier to see the boat with Lura & Helen go park. Bed about ten. Woke up once when the wind blew - about 4 a.m. Wed 1911 A lovely Morning for Motherto start to Dansville (which she did) I lunched at the Cafeteria, had a chat with Mary & supped at the Manhattan. Read "St Lawrence River" & tended cats this evening. I wish I had room to tell about JG's "conversion" - as told me at length by Alice B. Yesterday Fri. 1912. A letter from Claude - enjoying Green Acre with Walter - & one from Jo. wanting us to come to Coburg today! - or tomorrow (perhaps we will) Real cool. Home to lunch. Farquaharson stopped & talked with me a long time. He is a queer chap. Tonight got ready to go tomorrow. Fixed clothes &c. I have about decided to send some of my Vacation prints to London. Got a nice letter from Mrs. Ullman about pictures. Sat. 1913. Rode home this noon with Jim. Motherwent to 3:45 car to train. Mary Gridley ("Capt.") there. A hot ride to Wolcott & a very dusty one to the Island with Mr.Hamilton & Mr. Widener. Main rooms 10 & 12. After supper the bluff for sunset (?) and moonrise & a stroll in the moonlight & early to bed. Heard "Dot" Salyerds (?) chatting with the only man and met "Mollie" Rae at the pump house. Mary seemed to like it. (Mabel & Florence
brought Roger & the Baby in this a.m. They are lovely!) Sun 1914 Lovely till mid-afternoon, when a nice rain started. Ruth
 came up & we went to Sea Breeze & sat on the bluff till dinner. I read aloud. It was a perfect day. A nice dinner & talk with Mr. Clark. A walk on the back path. Home in the first sprinkles - a nap - 3 letters and now supper & then (I hope) Bessie-Bob for a week
