Sat 1910 A lovely day after our rainy week -
Mary shared & came in to hedge
on Pt. Breeze. She wants to go now - but I wouldn't at
this late day. She certainly is the limit! Home to lunch.
Mary Ward cleaning for Frieda. I went to
Cobb's Hill for the sunset - Walked around
the res- ervoir & Mr. Solmeyer[] the gate keeper showed me thro' - tunnels & all. Later stopped at
Davis' & saw
Chattie, Frances & Mrs. D. Later
I walked out and saw the Comet. Not very bright.
Sun 1911
Intolerably hot! I spent most
of the day reading "The Heritage of the Desert" home &
on Claude's
"wake"
out on the sundial in a steamer chair. Late in
the p.m. Nana & I walked over to
the park with the children in The
Express cart. Finished my book, bed early.
Tues 1912
A very busy day. I worked
till quite late - after dark - to finish up Stern specifications. Packed tonight. It received - showery.
Mr. Hampden went on to
N.Y. Wed 1913
Busy, busy. Jim about used up & Claude really quite broken up when he went
away - He's such a dear. A nice last evening "with Lydia
around a small fire - it was just cool enough.
Thurs. 1914
Up to Cro'nest this a.m. (E. there at breakfast) & a ride down with the boys.
Rather a busy day.
Claude back from
Toronto.
