363DECEMBER 20 Tues 1910 Late this a.m. A long noon - Hippo- & Sibley's and a visit with Mary thro' p.m. Also stopped at Lura's and Edith came in & walked down with me. Did up packages - Meta came after the theatre & none of us got to bed till twelve. Wed 1911 Such a bleak sounding night! but it turned out a beautiful day! After break- fast "Knight" (the colored boy) rowed us out to wait for the "Corona" & we got on in the open & went to the "sea gardens" at the coral reefs & saw lovely things. Nice little "Eugenia" was on board. Stopped at the aquarium coming back and after lunch I went to town (walked) Had a "play time" & then spent the eve. with Hermionie & Dorothy Woodruff. The mother with the at- tractive married daughter. Mr. & Mrs. [illegible] (BJG) and Miss & Mrs. [illegible] (suffragettes) & the [illegible] - late to bed. Fri 1912 Christmas atmosphere. Coralyn sorry she didn't "skip" school today & go home. She had supper with us tonight. Sat 1913 Worked till 2 or so and lunched very late & then had a great time buying toys &c at the 10c stores. Came home loaded. Our Ruth
's have gone for the holidays.
Sun 1914 A Day of Days ! Lovely weather. To S. S. Mother, Irene & Florence (I. so loving!) to dinner at Mrs. Briggs & then with Mother to the Columbia to call on Mr. & Mrs. Cass. Then to the new little Italian church first service - to Bess & Mary's with a Xmas present - to C.U. 's for a half hour before the fire. There I 'phoned Irene & found she wasn't coming & Florence 'phoned me. So I stayed to supper & we went to S.S.(Miss Scranton) Walked part way home & I had toast with the Stricklands about 11 -!
