23JANUARY 23 Sun 1910 Very slippery in spots - the ice that is left after the rain & wind. Made blue pts &c. all forenoon - Good dinner. Edna came with Marion
& Lois
soon after dinner & later we all walked up to Claude's & had such a nice time. Henry, in his new brown suit, was very good "Entertaining the ladies" & Channie a dear! Mr. Tappan & Jim were there too. Later I went to Davis's & Lillian is very bad today - wrote at home till midnight! Gertrude, Alice, Harry
&c. Trudy say Frances Braley likes me because I'm not "so awfully sensible!" Chat, Lura & I did part of Marguerite's Kodak picture puzzle. Little Amelie sick.
Mon 1911 Claude started for Pulaski but got a letter the last minute telling him not to come so he wrote Auntie a lovely letter instead & I sent her $20 (he sent her $100 a little while ago!) Home to lunch & spent most of the evening in my wrapper - reading new McClure & feeling horrid - all over too. Tues, 1912 Thick black fog this a.m. - & then Snow. I came home to lunch & went to Shubert's for "Blue bird" tickets. Tonight read Mr DeMorgan's "A Likely Story" - very much of the Reincarnation in it - (like "Alice - for Short") & immensely interesting - up late writing while Mother took a bath & Peter out! Thurs 1913. Shopped some today and went to a "picture show" at noon. I also attend "bargain sales" nowadays. Fri. 1914 Nothing special today. Lunched alone at Sibley's. Shopped a little for Mother and sewed (on gamps) in the evening.
