138MAY 17 Tues. 1910 Lunched at Seels. Its getting warmer & the sun is red - counsel weather - Got a new & folding Kodak (swapped my old one) Alicia treated for my birthday) tonight. Went to the Oratonia "Creation" (at convention Hall)
with Meta & walked home. Just as we got here it began to pour. Wrote some. Saw my Sunday NY Times at [illegible] King Edward's body taken to Westminister today.
Wed. 1911 Very Busy all day revising 9 pages of specifications which I sent back tonight. Read some and went to bed rather early. Took a short lunch with Bess & Mary. Mother went to prayer meeting & house cleaned all day Fri. 1912 A lovely day. Home to lunch for a change. An enjoying "The child of the Dawn" my birthday present from Claude Wrote Trudy tonight (she sent me a hat pin.) Sat. 1913. A gorgeous day! This p.m. Capt. Gridley & I took a walk in Seneca Park & saw all kinds of birds &c. lovely! I came back to such a nice dinner with Helen Davis & Charlotte. H. put on all her new dresses &c. for me. (They were mighty pretty too) They were pleased a Claude Engagement. Sun. 1914 Lovely day. The 2 prints and I went down the Maplewood Park river path & took a lot of pictures &c. Had a late & hearty dinner (Mother!) at 4:30. Claude took the boys to morning. E.went to N.Y. on The Friday night. Her Mother sick Edith came up this evening (not to dinn supper as I expected!)
