162JUNE 10 Fri 1910 Pleasant. Lunched at Sibley's with the girls & shopped. At night, went to Hippo. & hurried home & phoned Herma over. Later went over there and saw Frieda's wedding dress - which is lovely - silvered silk & a lace robe over. Herma looks very well & is a regular Bowheimian. Sat 1911 Grew warmer - rained at noon & then cooled off & we had a hard thunderstorm late in the evening. Claude dictated his "Higher space" speech to me. It is fine. I got to talking with Lura (about another Parry). & she insisted I go to lunch with her at Sibley's. We saw Frank D. Ray Hanna, All the Edward's family of Dans ville and Sara Lattimore (all to converse with) were she [illegible] mended my pink dress this p.m. & I finished Henry's bib at last. Sat with [illegible] a little while. Mon 1912 Still lovely. Not quite so busy. Lent "a child of the Dawn" to Mary. Sat on Rowe's Steps awhile tonight & then Chat & Frankcame. They say the Ojibway extension will probably be given up - only Eleven applied. The boys got home. Henry with a loose tooth! He is proud of it. Tues 1913 A perfect day. Mother's Autumn chapter I went up to Menlo Pk. this a.m. & then managed to get up to Cro'nest & spent the rest of the p.m. in a steamer chair - finished "V.V.'s eyes". enjoyed everything hugely. Lydia
& Mother came to supper & we ate in the Veranda, Then she & I had a last walk together thro lovely Highland Park - Azaleas & Rhode. then I saw. She stayed all night with us.
Wed 1914. Cooler. Lunched with girls again. At 5 went to the Park (Highland) & had supper with Ruth
& the Adcocks. Stopped at Claude's & at Jim's - coming down. Herbert Stern sailed for Europe today on the new "Aquitania".
